A Little Bit About Me
I’m just a 20-something programmer from Essex making my mark in the Videogame Industry.
Like many people, my love for Videogames started with my first console. For me, this was in the Christmas of ‘96 when my Dad brought home “The Fastest Most Powerful Games Console ON EARTH”, the Nintendo 64 and a copy of the iconic Super Mario 64.
It wasn’t long before my passion for gaming evolved into something more, I didn’t just want to play games; I wanted to create them as well. I loved the sense of accomplishment and joy that I got from playing and completing games, it was clear to me that a good game wasn’t just lines of code and art, it was a journey.

Starting my personal development at GCSE level, part of my Double IT Course (CiDA) involved making a game within Adobe (or Macromedia, as it was known back then) Flash. I learned a great deal about animation, design elements and basic coding skills in Actionscript 2.0, which later formed the foundations for more in depth games design in programs such as Unity.
In College, in addition to courses in IT, Maths, Drama and Business I took on the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) as one of my options. This was a fantastic course allowing students to pick an area they were passionate about and manage a project from start to finish on that topic. Naturally, I decided to create a game from start to finish using my newly honed Flash Skills! I created a short Zombie Survival game in honour of Halloween for the following year and submitted it to favourable reviews on Newgrounds.com and a B grade from examiners.
After College I went on to work in the finance sector in London as an Account Manager at an Insurance Firm, but that isn’t where my gaming journey ended. After deciding University wasn’t for me I focused on completing a number of Online Game Development Courses to further my knowledge in the evenings, I also turned my attention to the Unity Game Engine.

...Coding and Design elements are where I really thrive and where I hope I can take this hobby and develop it into something greater. |
It is here where I now spend most of my development time, dabbling in different genres, working on various demos and brushing up on C# - it is my aim to release a fully fledged project on a mobile device in 2018 that I can be proud of. Art Work and Special Effects have never been my strongest features, but Coding and Design elements are where I really thrive and where I hope I can take this hobby and develop it into something greater.
Outside of gaming, I enjoy travelling the world and exploring the UK with my dogs, as the above photo from a recent trip to Iceland shows! I hope you enjoy your stay on my webpage, please feel free to browse through my portfolio or get in touch using the link above.
